Not for emergencies

Cortex Telehealth is not an emergency service. If you have chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, signs of stroke, thoughts of harming yourself, or any other emergency, call 000 or go to your nearest emergency department.

How booking works

01

Choose your appointment

New patients book an initial consultation: $160, 40 minutes, by video. Existing patients book a follow-up: $80, 20 minutes, by video or phone.

02

Complete your intake form

When you book, you’ll be asked to complete an intake form. It covers your current symptoms, medical history, medicines, allergies and family history. Taking time to fill it in carefully means more of your consult can be spent on what matters to you.

03

Blood tests, if needed

Depending on your situation, Brett may send you a pathology request to have blood tests done before your appointment, so the results are ready to discuss. Not everyone needs tests beforehand.

04

Join your video consult

Join from somewhere quiet and private where you can concentrate, not while you’re out and about, and never while driving. You’re welcome to have a support person with you.

What to have ready

It helps to have these on hand during your consult:

For the video consult you will need a phone, tablet or computer with a camera and microphone, a reliable internet connection, and a private, quiet space where you feel comfortable talking openly.

Choose a time

Available times are shown below. You pay when you book, and Halaxy emails you a confirmation.
